The Alcídia Unit, located in Teodoro Sampaio (SP), held today the first class for the RenewAction program in the Presidente Prudente region, developed by the Sugar Cane Industry Union (União da Indústria da Cana-de-açúcar -UNICA) with the objective of re-training sector professionals. Sugar Cane motorists and sow machine operators courses were made available for 70 professionals, 62 of which are ETH integrants.
Vitorio Bredariol, Polo SP Managing Director, welcomed the students. "We can be good, very good or excellent, but we need to be constantly trained. Take this opportunity and you will be great professionals", he said.
Iza Barbosa, UNICA?s Social Responsibility Manager, presented RenewAction. Six regions from the state of São Paulo Will receive the courses focused on qualifying labor for the sugar cane and alcohol sector as well as for other activities. "With automation, not all professionals will be absorbed by the sector. We identified the needs for each region and will meet those needs", she explained.
RenewAction has as its partners some of the main agriculture machinery manufacturers, such as Syngenta, John Deere and Case, as well as SENAI and the State of São Paulo Rural Worker?s Federation (Federação de Empregados Rurais Assalariados do Estado de São Paulo - FERAESP).
